Abstract/Summary

The group is proposing an Automated Money Changing System using Image Processing. The proposed system is designed to be user-friendly and may be operated by the user alone. This system was patterned after the vending machine. Millions of vending machines now appear in many different places. Much of this popularity is due to the self-service trend in merchandising. This system analyzes, identifies and records the amount of money inserted. The user then enters the amount of money desired to be changed, not to mention on how it is going to be denominated. Using the keyboard, he keys in the specified value and this is then verified by the system through Image Processing. The main changing process involved in the proposed system is the change from a larger value of bill to smaller amounts. From the screen the user selects the desired denomination of change through the keyboard, this will be utilized by the program in running the different cases involved.
