Abstract/Summary
Executive Summary Form of ownership: ENGINE-USE REPAIRS SERVICES CORPORATION is a close corporation 100 percent Filipino owned. Project location: The corporation will be located at #12 Hawaii Circle, Better Living Subdivision Paranaque Metro Manila. Brief Description of the project: ENGINE-USE REPAIRS SERVICES CORPORATION is a service organization devoted to servicing generating sets with minimum capacity of 30 kw. These generating sets are industrialized and will need constant repairs, maintenance and upgrading. The needs mentioned will generally be what the ENGINE-USE REPAIRS SERVICES CORPORATION will be offering to potential customers. Management Study Highlights The proponents have decided on creating a close corporation because of the nature of the industry in which the potential competitors are also corporations. Furthermore, the inflexibility of capital requirements call for a large capital contributions which cannot be handled efficiently by the smaller forms of organization. The organization will be one hundred percent (100 percent) Filipino-owned. The organizational structure as yet is very sparse, providing only for the base minimum but will be flexible enough to accommodate the growth factors that the proponents have incorporated into the projections developed in the study. The proponents will compose the board of directors plus the person who will be hired as general manager and will be president as well. C. Marketing Study As a result of the crippling power crisis which the country has been experiencing since 1988, a large number of generator sets have been acquired and operated by various firms. Consequently, a lucrative market for repairs and maintenance services was created. Such market is so large that entrepreneurs need not capture a significant share in the market in order for the venture to be profitable. D. Technical Study ENGINE-USE REPAIRS SERVICES CORPORATION offers three types of services. These are the Preventive Maintenance Services, Annual Repairs Services and Complete Overhaul. All services will be rendered under service agreements regardless of the category they fall under. Generally, all three types have similar cost components the parts, labor and sundries or shop supplies. However, the proportions for each cost component will vary for each type of service.
