This study aims to control the outflow of water in such a way as to seemingly produce images. The application of axisymmetric laminar fluid flow to the area of fountain design is studied. The fluid mechanical background of laminar flow is researched, along with the analysis of the underlying principles. Designs are developed for nozzles that are capable of producing laminar streams. Images to be formed are to be encoded in a personal computer and passed through an electronic interface to be physically manifested through a column of nozzles. This interface turns the individual pixels on or off according to the desired image.
