Leaf, root and stem of Helianthus annus L. seedlings produced callus in Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 11.10 and 22.20 u M BA alone or in combination with two levels of NAA (0.67 1.34 uM) and 2,4-D (0.57 and 1.14 uM). The best treatment for callus formation in all explants was MS + 22.20 uM BA + 0.57 uM 2,4-D. And the best treatment for callus proliferation was in MS + 22.20 u.M BA + 0.67 uM NAA.
