Abstract/Summary
Batang Makiling is a 20-minute self-narrating documentary observing the life of young and artistically talented students of the Philippine High School for the Arts on Mt. Makiling, Los Banos, Laguna.
The documentary includes series of interviews as well as in and out of classroom footages which gives a picture of how these children are given enough opportunities to develop their talents in their chosen art field. Furthermore, it also shows how these children manage to live independently in an environment, which allows them to interact with other artistically talented children.
