Abstract/Summary

SalinWika is an Example-Based Machine Translation (EBMT) system that allows users to translate English sentences into Filipino. The system features machine learning of translation templates, which are generated from the corpus. SalinWika Machine Translation is composed of five (5) major component: the Lexicon, the Corpus, the Translation, the Learning, and the Input Processing. Based on the results, the system was able to translate sentences that are similar to the translation templates or that are not in the domain as long as there are templates that correspond with the sentences.
