Abstract/Summary
HIRK is the newest alternative to making hotel room reservation. It is a walk-in kiosk where a person can do hotel reservation by a touch on the screen, and be provided the hotel information he needs if he desires to. HIRK is a successful combination of multimedia and data communications, both a fast rising technology of modern times. This documentation presents the concepts behind, and the reasons and objectives of the HIRK system. It also presents a design layout and issues concerning its implementation. Also included are the user's and Technical Manuals which provide detailed information on the system.
