Abstract/Summary

Executive Summary. This is a feasibility study on the establishment of a day care and learning center. The main purpose of this study is to determine whether the services which has been defined within can become viable and whether it would be accepted by the society, particularly the target market - i.e. the working mothers, or parents. The proposed name of the company is PAMPERED DAY CARE AND LEARNING CENTER. The said center will be located at the 2nd Floor, Quad II Ayala Center, Makati. The form of business organization adopted is that of a Partnership. The following discussions are the highlights of the different studies conducted and made in order to find out if the proposed business is feasible or not. The major points of each study are emphasized and summarized in the following statements.I. Highlights of the Market Study. A Product Description Pampered Day Care and Learning Center is to be established to provide baby-sitting services and basic education to children ages 2-4. The center would attend to the needs of the parent, as well as the children for professional child care services. At the same time, as an additional package, children will be taught the basics - alphabets, numerals, reading, writing, drawing. Included in the educational process is values enhancement or development, so even at an early age, the children will be taught how to properly relate to other people and they will be encouraged to develop the proper virtues and attitudes that a true Christian must possess.

The center is concerned with the proper development of the children into well-rounded individuals. Through the different programs we have, the children can discover and enhance their talents, skills, and creativity. .Our center is designed in a way that makes it distinct from other services. It is a center to be built-up as a haven where children can have fun while learning. The toddlers can enjoy in the playground that we provide - ride plastic horses, mini see-saw, and mini-slides. In our center, they can always be themselves - little angels - so young and full of spirit. We will also have activities which will give the parents a chance to share their children's fun in our center. There are three packages offered - hourly, monthly or yearly basis. Those availing of monthly or yearly service are entitled to a regular basic educational program. Those engaging the services of the center on an hourly basis are provided with professional baby-sitting services.B. Target Market After studying the total market, we have now chosen the segment of the market which we can profitably serve best - working mothers or parents working in Makati. There are two factors that we have considered in choosing the market that we will serve (1) those who profess interest in our services, and (2) those belonging to Class A, B and C, with a monthly family income of not less than 10,000. Our target market is large enough, and has strong growth, since women are becoming career-oriented while maintaining a family.
