Abstract/Summary

The Rife Machine is an electromagnetic wave generator which is claimed to eliminate a specific virus, bacteria, and even cancer cells based on its bio frequency or formally called the Rife frequency band. In this study, the researcher investigated the effect of modulated electromagnetic wave signal on non-pathogenic E.coli HB101 bacteria culture by performing cytotoxicity test with Alamar blue dye. The E.coli samples were prepared and grouped in a 96-culture well plate. The electromagnetic wave with a 3.3 MHz carrier frequency is modulated at several audio frequencies to find the appropriate resonant frequency that can debilitate E.coli viability. These modulating frequencies were carried out on the experimental group of E.coli samples for 2-minute and 10-minute exposure times inside a metallic mesh chamber for electromagnetic wave confinement.

The same trend observed in almost all frequencies at different medium, clinic frequencies and some of the side band frequencies on E.coli. There was an increased in cytotoxicity of the exposed samples compared to the control samples that may signify an increase in cell metabolism and indicate bacterial growth. However, at frequencies 194.52 Hz, 11311.36 Hz - 11408.08 Hz, 11702.53 Hz - 11809.20 Hz and 12413.72 Hz - 12449.28 Hz shows a decrease in cytotoxicity but using the statistical t -test the p value did not meet the minimum requirement to conclude that there is a significant decrease of the cytotoxicity. On the other hand the frequencies at 12378.16 Hz -12413.72 Hz and 12449.28 Hz show a significant decrease in the cytotoxicity of the exposed samples. Under these resonant frequencies, it is possible to indirectly determine the E.coli's DNA base pair size.
