Abstract/Summary

The thesis project was created as a pilot episode for a travel-cuisine show different from the travel shows that already exist. To do so, the proponents approached it from a different angle by choosing to feature relatively unknown places in the Philippines, like the province of Capiz, to acquaint the audience with what the province has to offer in terms of eco-tourist destinations, and to give them a taste of Philippine history and culture through their cuisine. The show's treatment and approach will feature these eco-tourist destinations in such a way as not to go down the commercial route but to encourage the audience to patronize these places and at the same time make them aware of the growing need to preserve and conserve the country's natural wonders and the nation's culture. Zest for Adventure also aims to provide alternative travel options to a younger audience, and to those who are on a budget.
