Abstract/Summary

Haribon Foundation for the Conservation of Natural Resources, Inc. is the Philippines pioneer environmental organization committed to conserving the environment through several programs and activities and envisions to transform individuals into biodiversity champions. Being heavily reliant on members to achieve organizational goals, Haribon needs to be able to effectively communicate member roles and task descriptions to cause their members to act towards their purpose, making them more competent in the organization. However, the initial communication audit revealed that Haribon does not effectively communicate member roles through their orientation program and membership kit. To aid this, the researchers produced (1) an orientation manual, which serves as a guide for Haribon staff in facilitating orientation (2) a revised membership booklet, which members can refer back to for information regarding the organization and their roles (3) a revised PowerPoint presentation, which composes of sufficient and clear information about Haribon and member roles and, (4) an orientation event, where the produced materials were used and evaluated.
