Abstract/Summary

The one million trees project under the Lasallian Institute for the Environment (L.I.F.E.) is in its early stages of its six (6) year plan. It aims to provide individuals a pro-active venue where they can address the needs of the environment and endangered natural resources. It also aims to raise awareness on the importance of caring for the country's eco-systems and instilling values in the Lasallian family. ( About Life , nd.)

The identified communication problem is that the organization has not yet made itself known to the public. The lack of volunteers is the result of this problem. In response to this, a volunteer recruitment plan is the solution. OMT envisions growth and expansion beyond the Lasallian communities. However, this will only be possible once a strong foundation is established within the La Salle system.

In order for the volunteer recruitment plan to maximize its effectiveness, the scope of this volunteer recruitment plan will only encompass DLSU-Manila students as its target audience. This study includes research about the target audience's preference in terms of the recruitment strategy.

The product of this study is a step-by-step volunteer recruitment plan, which is an instructional manual. This manual is intended for the OMT Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator to aid in the planning of the recruitment activity to be done in the DLSU-Management campus.
