Abstract/Summary
The thesis provides a tutorial for Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis (DATSALO) by using Computer-Aided Instruction (CAI). Computer-aided instruction makes use of software programs available like Moodle, Adobe Flash, Dreamweaver, MySQL, and the like, it links multimedia formats systematically to give the users an interesting and interactive learning experience. The thesis includes abstract data types, various kinds of data structures such as list, stack queue, binary trees and graphs, and examples, implementation and applications of mentioned data structures to aid the users in understanding the concepts associated with the course, data structures and algorithm analysis. The thesis provides end of the chapter quizzes and long quizzes for testing the progress of the user. It uses flash-based animations with voice-over that simulate and explain the different concepts and applications related to the subject. It also includes interactive files that allow the user to interact with the program to better understand the concepts presented.
