Abstract/Summary
The car navigation aid system informs the location of the driver in a city with one kilometer radius from a specific origin.The hardware consists of a magnetic digital compass and digital odometer using a gray-code shaft encoder both interfaced to a personal computer with a VGA monitor. The software contains the database of the digitized map and provides for the error correction.
