Abstract/Summary

For this thesis, the choice establishment is Bayview Park Hotel, Manila, due to its proximity, availability, and need for this material. The proponents produced a 12-minute video of orientation for the employees of the said organization.

The video includes the Bayview Park Hotel logo & building facade the history of Bayview Park Hotel, Manila welcome remarks from the General Manager, the hotel's objectives and goals the hotel's mission and vision Bayview's you're Welcome Program' employee benefits and activities and hotel tour.

The presentation is audio-visual for these reasons: (1) the proponents suggested several options to the Bayview Management, such as graphic design package, communication research, a webpage, and a video of orientation, which was their choice, since they decided that an audio-visual presentation was the most appropriate supplementary material for orientation of new employees (2) an audio-visual presentation is effective, efficient, and dynamic in terms of movement, sound, and representation of ideas, among other things (3) content and quality of presentation is standard in that the information offered is always the same--never lacking or added to unnecessarily.

The proponents shot original footage for the video and photos presented were borrowed from the establishment. Employees viewed in the scenes for the You're Welcome Program the activities and the compensation & benefits are actual, on the one hand. on the other, hired talents portrayed the roles of customer and narrator. The music used for the video was mostly instrumental jazz tunes.
