Abstract/Summary
The Heart at Play Foundation (THP) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that provides Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) program to special needs persons in Metro Manila for free. DMT is their pioneered program that helps individuals with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities develop their motor and social skills.
To support these beneficiaries, they aim to tap parents from University of the Philippines Diliman, De La Salle University, Ateneo de Manila University, Immaculate Concepcion Academy and Xavier School to donate. However, the communication audit revealed that the current communicative materials used by the organization (letter, e-mail, website, and video) were ineffective in persuading and in providing vital information to potential donors. As a result, the proponents revamped the current materials to communicate the urgent need for donations, and highlight the importance of their free program to beneficiaries. They also added a donor recruitment brochure which contained information about THP, their program, and other donor-related information. These materials were evaluated by key members of the organization, as well as a portion of the target audience.
