Abstract/Summary
Menarche is often depicted as a symbol of a girl's transition into womanhood. In the Philippine culture, menarche is sometimes associated with various rituals and ceremonies. On the other hand, some modern Filipinos no longer believe in such practices (Contreras, n.p.). This short feature film depicts the menarche of two young girls who will discover themselves through this experience - Thea, who lacked the guidance of a maternal figure and Andi, who grew up surrounded by boys.
