Abstract/Summary

The Philippine Toy Library (PTL) is a non-profit organization established on June 12, 2012. It aims to provide the experience of play to marginalized Filipino children by setting up spaces for play in cramped urban centers. Children, whose families cannot afford to buy toys and books, will be able to experience playing and reading - experiences that are crucial to children's development.

The proposed website will seek to address the communication problem of the organization by effectively informing its external audiences about its advocacy and services--which should help PTL gain more donations and volunteers. Accomplishing this should, in turn, contribute to the overall sustainability and growth of the organization. The researchers used the Uncertainty Reduction Theory to serve as the basis of the design and development of the website.
