Abstract/Summary
The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of sea cucumber powder in the embryological development as well as the viability of the duck embryo. The results indicated that the sea cucumber powder has an effect in the duck embryos for it did not fully developed up to its 27th day of incubation. It was found that sea cucumber contains holothurin which have the capability in inhibiting mitotic activity and angiogenesis. This protein might have caused the changes in the development of the fatal duck embryo.
