Abstract/Summary
This study is an exposition of Section 6.1, 6.3 and 6.4 of Chapter 6, Number Theoretic Functions of the book Elementary Number Theory by David M. Burton. The paper focus its discussion on number theoretic functions like the T function which gives the number of positive divisors of a number n, o function which represents sum of these positive divisors, and the greatest integer function which is very suitable for treating divisibility problems. An application to calendar using greatest integer function and concepts of congruences will also presented. In addition, a computer program will be devised to help solve some calendar application problems.
