Abstract/Summary
A descriptive research design is used to determine the work values considered important in a Filipino-Korean company. 20 participants are used in conducting the study. The participants consisted of 10 Filipino managers and 10 Korean managers in Filipino-Korean companies. A close-ended questionnaire and interview was used in gathering data. Data was mostly analyzed qualitatively. Descriptive statistics were also used to present the frequency and ranking. The results revealed that there are 11 work values considered important by Filipino managers. It also reveals that there are 7 work values considered important by Korean managers. Out of these, 4 were common work values and 10 were unique work values. The 14 values that resulted from the combination of the common and unique work values are the work values that may improve the work environment in a Filipino-Korean company. These are honesty, hardworking, respect, discipline, loyalty, understanding, respect for others, well-organized, commitment, patience, sincerity, neatness, love of work and help others. The second part of the study showed basically the same work values as the first study. However, work values that were added are faith in God, compassion, friendliness, love of family, balance between family and work and goal-oriented.
