Abstract/Summary
The documentary is about Chavacano de Zamboanga, which is the language of the people of Zamboanga City. The documentary is twenty minutes long. The documentary was shot in Video 8 format, and edited in the U-matic format. The documentary has five parts. The first gives a historical background on the origins of Chavacano de Zamboanga. The second addresses the main issue that the language is slowly dying. The third part of the documentary deals with the factors that are contributing to the decline in the use of Chavacano de Zamboanga. The fourth part of the documentary determines the importance of the Chavacano language to the Zamboangueno people. The final part of the documentary shows the efforts that are being done to keep the language alive in Zamboanga City. The project specifically documented the efforts that are being done by the local government, the Roman Catholic church, the academe, and media.
