Ferns in selected areas (600 sq. m) of Mt. Palay-Palay National Park, Ternate, Cavite were studied between July to October 1997. Bases for identification were the morphology of rhizome, frond, stipe, pinna, sori, rachis, and veins. Ferns belong to one Division, one Class, one Order, seven families, twelve genera, and thirteen species. The species represented by the following families were: Teratophyllum aculeatum (Aspidiaceae) Psomiocarpa apiifolia (Aspidiaceae) Ctenitis dissecta (Aspidiaceae) Bolbitis rhizophylla (Aspidiaceae), Cyathea contaminans (Cyatheaceae) Nephrolepis biserrata (Davalliaceae) Drynaria quercifolia (Polypodiaceae) Microsorium longissimum (Polypodiaceae) Pteris ensiformis (Pteridaceae) Pteris longipes (Pteridaceae) Lygodium circinnatum (Schizaeaceae) Christella dentata (Thelypteridaceae) Pneumatopteris microloncha (Thelypteridaceae) Pneumatopteris microloncha (Thelypteridaceae).
