Abstract/Summary
This is a study on the purification process of surface water, a tool for people to undertake when the need arises.This study aims to provide the people with a simple technique of water purification using available and common materials, particularly in emergency situations.The method used is physical treatment using ordinary construction sand and powdered charcoal followed by disinfection with Zonrox. Marikina River, Laguna Lake and simulated run-off water were used as raw water for the said process.
