Abstract/Summary

This thesis focused on developing and implementing an online learning system for the wireless communications (WIRLCOM) course, based on the course syllabus offered in DLSU, to address the lack of an interactive online resource for the aforementioned course. Because of the advances in technology and methods of teaching, it is now much more convenient for faculty to host online lecture and review courses that can be accessed by ECE students, reviewees, and faculty. The ECE online learning system, which hosts the WIRLCOM course, is based on Moodle 3.3, while accompanying android app is designed for users of android 4.4 onwards. Moodle was used as the framework of the system as it provided all the necessary elements, features and services needed to implement the ECE-OLS WIRLCOM course. Each aspect of the ECE-OLS WIRLCOM course was implemented-- course content, Atto text editor, quizzes, collaboration tools, grading and feedback tools, announcements and calendar tools, android app-- and later tested by selected faculty and student consultants, who provided generally positive feedback on the system apart from some minor suggestions.
