Abstract/Summary
The world animation industry is seeing rapid growth as it rides the growth of social media and file sharing in the internet. Animation is seen as a language of moving art able that transcends cultural boundaries. The Philippines was once before a prime location for animation talent but has since then experienced decline after most of the top talent migrated to other countries and was not able to develop in the country. The Filipinos despite having their specialist far from its borders still has their inherent advantages such as their culture of adaptability to western taste as well as resilience to tedious working conditions. It has potential that only needs a catalyst to transform talents into animators needed by the industry.
Animation training centres or institutions are places of learning and training for would-be animators and lead them on a career in the industry. The business model of these institutions involve value propositions that describes how they deliver their training, the target customer segments they tailor their services to, the customer relationship they maintain, the channels in which they utilize to keep their customers satisfied, the key activities of to maintain the model as well the key resources for them to function and the key partners that enable their activities and access to resources. It also describes the cost structure and revenue stream which keeps the institution sustainable.
The research describes how these animation training institutions as a vital piece in supplying talents in the animation industry.
