Abstract/Summary

The aim of the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) is to design, implement, and pilot-test a methodology for data collection and data processing, validation and utilization of CBMS data for identification of needs. The CBMS also aims the designing and monitoring of program interventions which will provide the current information for policymaking and program implementation to the national and local government through the development and institutionalization of a CBMS. With the aid of an enhanced Geographic Information System (GIS) used by the CBMS Network, appropriate visual mapping of data and friendly user interface is made available to the users of the system. With the use of spatial analysis, additional information will be gathered, and georeferenced data will be analyzed and manipulated, and displayed that will help program planning and implementation in a desired area. Spatial relationships are analyzed to examine the interaction or the dependency of the variables.
