Abstract/Summary
This research paper deals with the effects of overseas Filipino worker's remittances to the gross domestic product (GDP) of the country focusing on its effect on the investment sector. This will be done by studying and regressing the family income and expenditure survey (FIES) data sourced from the National Statistics Office (NSO). The study will show evidences that may help the readers in understanding on how remittances are allocated in different expenditures per household. In line with this study is a supporting article which is a study made by Dr. Godlberg and Dr. Levi (2008) entitled Impact of remittances on economic growth which focuses in consumption and government behavior of the country.
