Abstract/Summary
This paper recognizes the ill effects of globalization and labor flexibility on Labor Relations in the Philippines that had caused the decline of union density. Thus, the researchers intend to discuss the viability of adopting the present trend of bargaining on an industry level under the present legal framework in terms of its constitutionality and conformity with Labor Code provisions on appropriateness of bargaining units and establishment of an employers' association. In the course of the study, the merits and demerits of industry-wide bargaining in solving the rampant decay in unionism shall also be assessed.
