Abstract/Summary

De La Salle University Manila is one of the best, if not the best, universities in the Philippines. One factor that made this possible is the quality of professors DLSU-Manila has employed.

Because of the work of the professors, DLSU-Manila, in return, give them benefits like longevity, leaves, salaries, retirement bonuses, Representation and Transportation Allowances (RATA), research incentives, and other benefits provided therein.

This paper talks all about the retirement and the RATA of professors in DLSU-Manila. Researchers tested the legality, validity, and the enforceability of theses benefits provided under DLSU-Manila's Faculty Manual. Researchers also present affirmative and negative arguments in order for the determination of the legality, validity, and enforceability of the benefits.

Rest assured that researchers have no personal interests, or vendetta, regarding the issue, but for educational purposes and for partial fulfillment of the course requirements in our course. Thus, researchers have only exercised their freedom of expression and freedom to study any topic or issue.
