Abstract/Summary

The main objective of this study is to investigate on cyber relationships and characterize the people involved in such relationships.

This study utilized an exploratory-descriptive research design. For data gathering, twenty (20) respondents were chosen by the researchers for the in-depth interview.

Findings show that cyber relationships are love relationships established on the Internet. Cyber relationships involve couples who have not met each other personally but by through Internet chatting. Even without personal meeting, couples fall in love and develop intimacy between them.

People involved in such relationship are middle-to-upper class Internet users whose ages vary from 19 years old to 27 years old and are either college students or college graduates who are currently employed.

Cyber relationships are believed possible to succeed if participants are determined and open to relationships established the unusual way.
