Abstract/Summary
Fil-Homes Realty Development Corporation (FRDC) is a realty development company established in 1953 and is primarily owned and managed by the Dolor family from Lipa City, Batangas. It is a duly registered corporation with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Trade and Industry. The company develops small to medium sized subdivisions which are located all over the Philippines. FRDC markets these low-cost lots to the low-income masses.
FRDC currently employs manual processes in all aspects of its operations, which often presents problems especially in record-keeping and collection.
As a result of the study the proponents recommend several alternatives regarding marketing, collection, and the organization itself. These recommendations aim to enhance FRDC's outdated approach in these areas. More importantly, the proponents developed a 3-year Information Systems Plan which will address FRDC's information needs. Outlined in this Information Systems Plan are different IS modules for FRDC's different functional areas, the acquisition of required hardware and software, and the implementation schedule for the duration of the 3 years allotted for the project.
