Abstract/Summary

Object Orientation is a relatively budding field in the computer industry in the Philippines. Consequently, most local software developers are still trying the gound of this new paradigm. Oftentimes they meet difficulties in their design and implementation of object-oriented applications because Object Orientation as a new school of thought is drastically different from the commonly used structural design and implementation of softwares. Therefore, tools that would help in the development of object-oriented applications will greatly alleviate the complexity of object-oriented design and implementation. One such tool is Object Modeling ToolCASE (OMToolCASE). This paper documents the object-oriented development of Object Modeling ToolCASE as a design tool that will help simplify the object-oriented design process in software development. It contains the study undergone by the proponents in analyzing , designing, and implementing the application. The different objectives, the product functions, and scope and limitations of the desired system are also discussed as well as the detailed design and implementation of these objectives. The manner of program testing to ensure correctness of the developed system is also explained and lastly, summary, conclusions and recommendations for further enhancement of the CASE tool are presented.
