Abstract/Summary

This thesis entitled Computer Assisted Instruction in Graphing Polynomial Functions deals with the concept of graphing polynomial functions with the use of an IBM PC XT or compatible computer. It explains the concept of graphing polynomial functions through the use of the different definitions and theorems necessary in graphing accurately polynomial functions. It also deals with the discussion of drawing accurate graphs through calculus-based theorems such as relative extrema and inflection points. Furthermore, it provides a manual and a program listing for the Turbo Pascal programmed software.
