Abstract/Summary

Technology Readiness Index (TRI) questionnaires were administered to 286 DLSU Accountancy students. Their overall TRI scores indicate that they have an average level of technology readiness. Hierarchical clustering and Multiple Discriminant Analysis were used to group respondents according to segments. The survey found that majority fall under the skeptic segment. There are no significant differences in terms of overall technology readiness scores across various demographic variables except for modules passed and year level. However, analysis of TRI components reveals statistically significant differences in the optimism dimension. Respondents in the higher rear level, with most modules passed and under double-degree programs hold a more positive view of technology than other segments. Finally, there is no significant correlation between technology readiness and academic performance.
