Abstract/Summary
One test mostly being used in checking the health status of the patient is the use of ECGs or ECG. The use of ECG graphs are useful data in detecting the abnormal conditions of the person's heart such as heart defect, high blood pressure and more heart impairments. Today, the reading and interpretation of ECG can only be done by medical experts and technicians, and this can be expensive. This research intends to create a software that can be accept ECG data in the form of an image file which the software will use in conducting image processing and pattern matching algorithms to formulate the interpretation of the status of the ECG data inputted. In general, the system intends to diagnose and interpret the ECG of the person. The system will basically use image processing algorithms to isolate the ECG input and pattern recognition algorithms to process and find similarities of the Electrocardiograph of the user to the templates stored and being used by the system.
