Abstract/Summary
Due to high cost of materials, people tend to imitate or even create something that is almost the same as another product and name it as the real one but in fact are absolutely different.
One of the most common products that are imitated or produced illegally is perfume. Perfume quality - controlling process, men with high sense of smell are employed to monitor the perfume's consistency of quality. This process, however, shows some flaws since there is human intervention and as we know, men are prone to errors.
This thesis, entitled Perfume Quality Control Using Olfaction System, is aimed on automating this monitoring process. The system, which includes both hardware and software, will check the genuineness and quality of perfumes based on the scents through electronic olfaction process. With this, human intervention is eliminated, thus, reducing the error.
