Abstract/Summary
The College of Computer Studies has reached far and beyond in the pursuit for further developments on computer-related technologies. To be able to maintain the stature that CCS is known for, it has to be able to support all the material needs of the proponents of the college. With the increasing demand for materials, monitoring and controlling these goods become more and more complex. These assets that support day to day activities in the college should not be taken for granted but rather paid more attention to.
In this light, the development of an inventory monitoring system to answer the needs of the college is proposed. Resource Management Information System aims to help the college employees in the requisition process and monitoring by serving their information needs. There are two (2) types of materials being requested by the college, consumable and non-consumable materials. Consumable materials include the office supplies while Non-consumable materials include the office furniture and computer equipment. The system computes for the reorder point of the consumable materials to somehow prevent inventory shortage. A more organized management of information is provided through system-generated queries and graphs to meet the information needs of the users. A number of recommendations are also provided for future enhancements of the proposed system."
