Abstract/Summary

The CCP Library Automated Catalog System is an information system that can provide users facts and other information about the library collections and materials being searched through the use of texts, photographs, audio and video clips. It can also search bibliographic records from a broad scope of categories. In addition, it offers a tremendous amount of information, and a variety of ways to get that information because the user can jump between various types of media and allows them to browse and search materials of their own choice. With the system's functions and capabilities, patrons can now access a friendly and easy-to-use online public catalog system.

The CCP Lib-ACS is also equipped with a maintenance system. The CCP Lib-ACS Maintenance System allows tasks such as classification of library materials, preservation and retrieval of varied media be carried out easily. It also allows simple and fast manipulation of details, figures, information, and/or data entries. In addition, this maintenance system will serve as an inventory system in managing, keeping in order, and tracking of the increasing amount of library collections and materials."
