Abstract/Summary
A taxonomic study of marine gastropod shells was conducted in Silonay Island, Oriental Mindoro during the months of April, May and July 1995. Collection was restricted to the shoreline area up to 3 meters towards the sea. Generally, the water is clear and deep with sandy and rocky substratum.A total of 34 species of marine gastropod shells were collected and classified under 1 subclass, 3 orders, 4 suborders, 8 superfamilies and 14 families.
