Abstract/Summary
For the past years, Original Pilipino Music (OPM) has been declining due to the entry of mainstream music blasting on our local radio stations, and even on the internet. The purpose of Malikmata is to bring back that lone for OPM. It is by heightening the creative aspects of local music production, that OPM is given more hook towards its audience, thus making it more attractive to its listeners and its message well heard by the locals.
Malikmata is produced with these factors: a trained actor playing the main character, the band Siadina, a high definition camera, and the software Adobe Premire Pro CS3. If then is cumulative to a 5-minute live action music video with its story revolving around the struggle of a person wanting to find something concrete. As a result, the interpretation of the song differs from one listeners as its speaks to them in all aspects.
