Abstract/Summary

Bata Binata is a short feature film about the relationship between a young father named Michael and his child named Gab. They all live under the guidance of Michaels mom that is why his responsibilities as a father does not have much impact on him because he still gets to do what he wants.

His character as a father is tested when his mother leaves for a business trip and he is left alone to take care of Gab. He goes through an internal battle between living off his carefree lifestyle and facing his responsibilities as a father and a role model to him.

Bata Binata shows the difficulties that being a young fathers entails. There is this certain amount of maturity required to be able to cope with the transition and the need of your child. This feature also shows the importance of parental support to the young father that will serve as a guide for them in knowing how to handle raising a child of his own.
