Arranged marriages among Muslims especially in Mindanao has been one of the most preserved practices that represent the Islamic cultural norm and even in the emergence of a more modern and culturally-diverse society, it has sustained and has continued to be embraced as part of the Islamic way of life as it is a social necessity that comes together as a result of their extended family and community.
