Abstract/Summary
This study determined the effect of polyethylene in asphalt using different types of testing method such as Penetration test, Ductility test and Softening Point Test. Each test involves ten intervals, and each interval represents a percentage of polyethylene in asphalt. Results were obtained proving that polyethylene improves the hardness of asphalt and its softening point under a range of 0.01% to 2.23% polyethylene content only. At the same, ductility is not sacrificed.
