Abstract/Summary
A taxonomic study of the holothurian fauna was conducted from June 1992 until June 1993 in Sabang, Morong Bataan. Collected specimen were preserved with alcohol and stored at the undergraduate thesis laboratory. Identification was based on spicules present on the dorsal and ventral sides of each specimen collected. Classification was based on studies done by Domantay (1953), Geronimo (1975 and 1976) and Tan Tiu (1981).Seven species were identified and classified down to the species level. All the species belong to Order Aspidochirotida, which are as follows: Holothuria (Halodeima) pulla, Holothuria (Halodeima) atra, Holothuria (Lessonothuria) pardalis, Holothuria (Mertensiothuria) pervicax, Bohadschia marmorata, Bohadschia vitiensis and Stichopus variegatus.
