Abstract/Summary

The increase attractiveness of technological advancements in both computer-based and web-based applications causes business sectors to grasp the beneficial effects of adopting such technology. This study aims to develop an electronic bidding system applicable to triple A construction companies. This study on electronic bidding used analytical and descriptive research method. With 41 contractors as respondents from 16 different triple A construction companies, an initial e-bidding system was presented and their feedback was obtained. Based on the results, it is apparent that electronic bidding is quite beneficial to owners only although e-bidding is truly efficient, time-saving, cost-saving an simple. From the data obtained, an all-new and revised system of one-time e-bidding was established. This new concept of bidding for construction projects would lessen incompetence of construction companies in bidding procedures. The group recommends conducting research based on the revised electronic bidding system.
