Abstract/Summary
Surface realizers are used to convert abstract representations of sentences to produce normal text. Recent systems that automatically produce text make use of surface realizers and are available in several languages like English and Chinese. In this research, the Filipino Surface Realizer (FilSuRe) was created to allow the generation of Filipino declarative sentences given the sentence structure, focus of the verb, the noun or pronoun, the root form of the verb, prepositional phrase and it can automatically generate markers. Using the FilSuRe system, the Picture Books story generators realization phase was revised to produce Booklat, a story generator for kids that generates Filipino stories.
