Abstract/Summary

Our Organizational Communication thesis project is about a public relations endeavor designed to solve a communication need that our organization REVA, currently possesses.

Being a relatively new company, REVA seeks to connect with its target audience. The organizational image the company wishes to portray is one that is tune with their target audiences wants and needs so that the target audience may be able to appreciate the organization--seeing the company not as solely a sales-driven entity but just another member of society trying to get by with the troubled times of the country.

The solution we proposed was that the company utilize the event medium of public relations. With the high-interactivity, long-lasting, low-cost qualities and effects of an event, the medium would provide the company a venue to portray their image to their target audience simultaneously leveling with them as well. We thought it best that we provide REVA with an event plan that they may utilize and eventually pattern when the organization sees it best to do so. With this particular communication medium's easy navigation allowing for easier comprehension, our thesis project is an event plan for REVA presented in an instructional CD form.
