Abstract/Summary
Kahapon Hanggang Bukas is a story film about two old women at the Golden Acres. Trining, the main character, has been at this institution for the aged for four years. Her surroundings depress her, and she reaches the point where she decides to get out of the institution with her best friend, Ester. Ester refuses to escape with Trining but offers to help her. The day before Trining is set to leave is her birthday. The other elders prepare a surprise celebration for Trining's birthday and she is touched by the gesture. Trining realizes how much the love and friendship of Ester and the other elders mean to her. In the end, she decides to stay.
