Abstract/Summary
In this study, possible restorative activity of L-Carnitine against FAS was conducted. Three groups of female mice were injected with either saline (S), L-Carnitine + saline (LC), or saline + ethanol + L-Carnitine (SEL). At day 10.5 E.D. the embryos were gathered and measured using a dissecting microscope. Results showed that the LC embryos had bigger brain dimensions and body length as compared to the saline control (P < 0.05), while the SEL embryos had bigger brain dimensions as compared to the LC control (P < 0.05). Thus it may be concluded that L-Carnitine can affect the brain dimension of embryos.
